We support local communities, particularly women, to take up small scale livestock production as a source of protein and income for families. We achieve this by training on modern livestock techniques, providing improved piglets and chicks, farm tools and assisting farmers to set up and run livestock enterprises. In addition, CAD runs a livestock credit scheme, otherwise known as Passing Over-the-Gift.
With support from WWF-Cameroon, CAD is facilitating the analysis and strengthening of a honey value chain for the Tombel Conservation and Development Cooperative (TOCODEC). Besides fostering partnerships and building the capacities of chain actors, CAD and WWF are supporting TOCODEC honey processing, quality control and marketing.
